Areas of Focus: Rev. Cheatham is responsible for special outreach to the sick and/or shut-in. He also is chaplain for the Progressive Adults Ministry, co-chair of the Lenten Service Ministry and advisor for the Men’s Ministry. In addition, Rev. Cheatham issues weekly ministerial assignments for the church’s Sunday worship services, helps coordinate ministers’ schedules, and helps to organize ministers’ meetings.
Education & Background: Cheatham was ordained in 1996 and has been a longtime member of Nineteenth Street, providing ministerial support to several pastors. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Industrial Arts (Tennessee State University) and completed his ministerial training at Washington Baptist Seminary and Washington Saturday College School of Religion at Howard University. He also attended William and Mary College while serving in the U.S. Air Force as a Military Police Officer.

Areas of Focus: Rev. Crawford’s ministry includes offering spiritual and practical aid during visitations, leading prayer services at residential senior homes, ministering to men at the Central Union Mission, and working with young coaches, players and families in demonstrating actionable Christian values. He also has led workshops on effective communication and has chaired the community block party.
Education & Background: Rev. Crawford was ordained by Nineteenth Street in 2016. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (Allen University), a Bachelor of Arts in Theology (Washington Baptist Seminary), and a Master of Divinity (Washington Baptist Seminary.) He also is a certified life coach.

Areas of Focus: Rev. Crosson is an associate minister who previously served as assistant pastor for three pastors over more than three decades, and as interim pastor for 18 months. His emphasis is on visitations, counseling services, and prayer support. He is a member of the Board of Christian Education, GriefShare, the Evangelism Committee, and the Birthday Ministry. He also is a longtime member of the Missionary Baptist Ministers’ Conference Washington, DC and Vicinity, and a member of the District of Columbia Baptist Convention Older Adult Ministries. He was a member of the Baptist Educational Congress of DC & Vicinity and served a number of years as chairman of The William H. Jernigan Scholarship Committee.
Education & Background: Rev. Crosson has been a part of Nineteenth Street since 1981 and was ordained at the church in June 1985. He received his formal ministerial training at Washington Bible College and Capital Seminary Washington Saturday College.

Areas of Focus: Rev. Hall is the Women’s Ministry Pastor and serves on the Women’s Ministry leadership team, as well as on the Board of Christian Education and the Intercessory Prayer Ministry. As one of the spiritual leaders of the Women’s Ministry, she presides over the Women’s Ministry Advisory Board meetings and plans and coordinates activities for women of the church. Her roles as an associate minister include coordinating prayer meeting preaching schedules and serving as one of the preachers at this and other services.
Education & Background: Rev. Hall was ordained to Christian ministry by Nineteenth Street in 2014, after serving on the Deacon Board for seven years. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Human Relations and the Master of Science in Administration (Trinity College), the Master of Divinity (Wesley Theological Seminary) and a Doctor of Ministry (United Theological Seminary).

Areas of Focus: Rev. Townsend is a licensed independent social worker who has served as a pastoral care counselor. His ministerial involvement includes serving as a youth mentor and as a member of the Men’s Ministry and the Evangelism, Building Fund and Stewardship committees. He also is a member of the Board of Christian Education and a facilitator in the GriefShare Ministry. His outreach includes 10 years of campus ministry at George Washington University and outreach to the incarcerated. As a counselor, he also offers experience as a Vietnam-era veteran (1967-69).
Education & Background: Rev. Townsend has been an active member of Nineteenth Street for more than 30 years and has served as an associate minister for three pastors. He has earned a Bachelor of Social Work and a Master of Social Work (Adelphi University School of Social Work) and a Master of Divinity (Colgate Rochester – Crozer Theological Seminary). Rev. Townsend is a retired Department of Defense employee and served as Family Advocacy Program Manager at Marine Corps Base, Quantico, Va., prior to his retirement.

Areas of Focus: Rev. Turner has focused much of his ministry on missions and outreach. Rev. Turner led the launch of the Global Missions Ministry; he introduced Nineteenth Street to World Relief and served that organization as Black Church Relations Director; he organized the church’s first mission trip, which was to Trelawny, Jamaica, and he represented the church on its first trip to Africa, which was to Rwanda and Kenya. His short-term missions have included preaching and evangelistic programs in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Uganda, Rwanda, Nicaragua, Haiti, Israel, and on the West Bank/Palestine. He also provides missions training. Rev. Turner serves on the Board of Christian Education.
Education & Background: Rev. Turner works as a director of Human Resources. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology (University of Toledo) and a Master of Divinity (Union Theological Seminary, NY). He served for seven years as pastor of Faith Moravian Church.

Areas of Focus: Rev. Turner is trained in short-term missions and helped launch the Global Missions Ministry. She led the first team mission, which was to Trelawny, Jamaica (2004), as well as the church’s return trips in 2005 and 2010. Rev. Turner has served on the field in Uganda and Kenya and supported mission projects in Haiti and Nicaragua. She also has provided missions training at Nineteenth Street and at other churches. Rev. Turner is an active member of the Women’s Ministry. In addition to providing pastoral care, she helped launch God’s Daughters and continues to mentor teen girls and college students. She has served as a preacher and teacher in a series of Bible studies and is a member of the Board of Christian Education. Rev. Robin Turner and Rev. Edward Turner founded the church’s Intercessory Prayer Ministry, which provides and supports growth in spiritual development and corporate prayer.
Education & Background: Rev. Turner was the first woman ordained as a minister of the Gospel by Nineteenth Street Baptist Church (December 4, 2004). She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism (Kent State), attended Wesley Theological Seminary and earned the Master of Divinity (World Missions Seminary). She is the director of Editorial Diversity Initiatives at Politico.com.

Areas of Focus: Rev. White Wolfe is involved in various ministries, initiatives and special projects at the church. She supports the work of the Youth Ministry and Sunday School and, in collaboration with her children, recently launched a Christian puppet drama ministry on a virtual platform. An important ministry focus is coordinating outreach efforts to supply food, clothing, educational materials, and hygiene items through donations, and providing resource referrals to the disadvantaged residents and underserved youth of this region. Rev. White Wolfe acts as a spiritual advisor for the Liturgical Dance Ministry and participates in efforts to research church trends, demographics, and attendance in contemporary worship settings. She is grateful to serve with the Intercessory Prayer Ministry, support church bereavement and funeral services, and provide counseling and encouragement to members in need.
Education & Background: Rev. White Wolfe earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Business (North Carolina State University), a Master of Public Administration (Bowie State University) and Master of Arts (Wesley Theological Seminary). Her immediate family includes her husband, Dr. Adam Keith Wolfe, daughter Milan Dannielle and son Hunter Landon. She is a lifelong member of Nineteenth Street, and her extended family has had strong membership ties for generations. She was ordained in 2016 as minister of the Gospel by the Nineteenth Street Baptist Church.

Areas of Focus: Rev. Wiley is one of the leaders of the Women’s Ministry and is active in the New Members’ Ministry, Global Missions Ministry, and the Sunday School.
Education & Background: Rev. Wiley preached her initial sermon on June 9, 2016 and shortly thereafter was licensed as a minister of the Gospel by Nineteenth Street. She has earned a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering (Northwestern University), a Master of Business Administration (University of Pennsylvania), and a Master of Divinity (Wesley Theological Seminary.)
