Dorothy M. Jefferson Scholarships
for Students in Business
The Stewart Family Foundation (TSF) is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to empower and give back to underserved communities through education, inspiration, and elevation. This year, TSF is awarding two scholarships in memory of their beloved matriarch, Dorothy M. Jefferson, who would have celebrated her 100th birthday on May 30, 2024.
Mrs. Jefferson was a devoted member of Nineteenth Street Baptist Church for over 45 years and served in many capacities while a member. Sister Jefferson, who passed away on July 15, 2020, loved Nineteenth Street Baptist Church and her church family. She was an inspiration to many and always wanted to help people succeed in life.
The Dorothy M. Jefferson Scholarships will be awarded to a male and a female student at any academic level in the field of business administration. Students who are members or related to members of Nineteenth Street Baptist Church who have a B average or above are eligible to apply. The $1,000 scholarships will be presented to the recipients during the May 26 Sunday worship service. Students must be present to accept their awards.
To apply for the Dorothy M. Jefferson Memorial Scholarship, complete the application and its three short essay questions and provide proof of GPA or a transcript.
