This Christmas, Give Gifts that Give Back!

Annual Christmas Bazaar Goes Virtual Again!

Join the Building Fund Committee (BFC) for the 8th Annual Christmas Bazaar, Sunday, December 12, from 12:30 to 2:30 pm, on Zoom.

This is the second year the bazaar has been held virtually, instead of in person, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. But that won’t stop us from having a great time!

The bazaar will kick-off with a vendor showcase spotlighting our wonderful vendors and lifting up this year’s ministry cause. Afterwards, shoppers will be free to visit the vendors in virtual vendor pop-up shops.

This year’s featured ministry is the Helping Hand Club. We’ll be lifting up their call to join or renew your memberships in the NAACP, the NAACP Legal Defense Fund, and/or the Association for African American Life and History (ASALH).

New Features – Virtual Photo Booth and Space to Sip and Chat

This year, we’re adding a Virtual Photo Booth and a Sip and Chat Room to the mix.

Put on your favorite Christmas gear or your ugly Christmas sweater, or just log in as you are, and celebrate the Christmas spirit at our Virtual Photo Booth. Take Christmas-themed photos using your cell phone, tablet or computer – don’t forget to share!

Need a shopping break or just want to chat? Join us in the main Zoom room, which we’re calling the Sip and Chat Room, for good conversation and great fellowship. Pour yourself a hot beverage, sit back, and enjoy the company of church family and friends.

This Year’s Fabulous Vendors
Plus the Return of Fair Trade

The BFC is excited to present this year’s select group of Christmas Bazaar vendors. These small business owners and creatives will offer a wide range of items, including jewelry, headwraps, clothing, home décor, African art, accessories, vintage women’s hats, and Afrocentric pieces. Watch for more information about this year’s vendors, coming soon.

We’re also pleased to announce that, after suspending in-person Fair Trade sales last year due to the pandemic, Fair Trade coffees, teas, and chocolates by Equal Exchange will make a return.

The BFC will be offering a limited selection of mostly bestsellers. Visit the bazaar’s Fair Trade pop-up shop to place your order. Watch the church announcements for details.

Gifts that Give Back + Supporting Black Businesses

BFC Christmas Bazaars have always featured gifts that give back. Our sale of Fair Trade coffees, teas, chocolates, and crafts, have not only helped us raise funds for the church’s Capital Improvement Project (CIP), but they have also helped support small farmers and artisans from around the world, many from the African diaspora, including a Black farmer collective in Georgia.

Likewise, many of the local entrepreneurs and creatives we’ve been honored to have as Christmas Bazaar vendors are Black business owners and most are female. We are pleased to be able to support of all of our vendors and hope that you will too by coming to the bazaar.

The BFC will also be raising funds for the CIP during the bazaar. To give now, click on the Giving webpage. Be sure to mark your gift for the Capital Improvement Project. Click here to learn about our current CIP fundraising initiative, the 90-Day Giving Challenge.

See you at the Bazaar!
