Young Adult Ministry

The Young Adult Ministry of Nineteenth Street Baptist Church seeks to engage, encourage, and empower God’s children between the ages of 18-40.

  • We engage young adults as they navigate life through challenges and triumphs.
  • We encourage through the revelation of God’s word by providing Bible studies, prayer, and socializing.
  • We empower by giving young adults the ability to serve in our faith community by using their God-given gifts and talents.

The ministry meets through a social event called R3 (Relax, Relate, and Release) once a month in a curated safe space. Our purpose:

  • Relax from the everyday pressures and stress we experience in the world.
  • Relate to each other from shared experiences and emotions encountered through the growing pains of becoming adults.
  • Release all of the things that prevent us from walking into our God-given destiny.

R3 activities have featured a visioning session, game nights, and self-care conversations.

The Young Adult Ministry also includes a special program for college-age adults called Grown~ish. Grown~ish hosts its own special events, such as The Link, which is designed to help undergraduate college students remain connected to our faith community and to hold each other accountable in our faith walk.

It is our goal to empower young adults to live as disciples of Jesus Christ in a world that is constantly changing. Young adults at Nineteenth Street will experience personal and spiritual growth with Christ as the center of our world.
